Aida Syahmina Murad

Aida is an avid volunteer in Brunei Darussalam with a particular passion in community development. Her recent role consists of being a coordinator for a local charity drive where she spearheaded logistical initiatives. Other than that, she also volunteers for her university’s biodiversity department; assisting in local programs and events centered on local biodiversity and conservation efforts. Aida is currently an active member of Brunei-U.S. Association and is involved with local events that aim to strengthen bilateral ties between Brunei and the United States through businesses, education, and social and community exchange.
Aida is an alumna of the Global UGRAD program and studied at the University of St. Louis, Missouri during the Fall of 2022. She has recently completed her bachelor’s studies in sociology and anthropology from University of Brunei Darussalam and is awaiting her convocation in August 2024.
Shasha Noorshari

Shasha is an alumna of the Global UGRAD program where she spent four months in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Shasha has recently wrapped up her bachelor’s degree in applied economics and finance from Universiti Teknologi Brunei. With a keen interest in the integration of economic theories and practical financial applications, Shasha has delved upon several internships in the finance sector. A short internship at a local investment agency has allowed her to uncover the basics of institutional investing, while her six months experience as a compliance intern at a renowned Southeast Asian bank has strengthened her understanding of financial regulations.
Shasha was also involved in her university’s student council where she was the deputy of the Executive Committee of Economy and Entrepreneurship. As the deputy, she led her team members run a campus café where students could work and buy meals. She has also joined various international online competitions where she shared her culture and even helped curate samples of digital content for a local mental health NGO in Surabaya, Indonesia.
