Sawettachat H. Jubsilp

Sawettachat H. Jubsilp is the first law student at Prince of Songkla University who received the Global UGRAD scholarship. She was the president of law student society from 2022 to 2023. In her senior year, she is the only Thai law student who received the invitation to present “The Prospects of Marine Environmental Protection Measures in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Agreement” at the Annual Conference of the International Society for Public Law in Wellington, New Zealand.
She was a Global UGRAD student at the Presbyterian College in South Carolina. She joined the subcommittee of partnerships and external relations at Thailand United States Alumni Association (TUSAA). She hopes to connect, empower, and inspire others to achieve their goals through this work.
Sawettachat graduated from faculty of Law, PSU. After she graduated, she became interested in human rights, international relations, and diplomacy. She received an offer from Essex Law School to study an LLM in international human rights law in September 2024. After returning to Thailand, she plans to pursue a career as a lecturer at the University in Thailand.
Wildan Muna

Before receiving the Global UGRAD Scholarship, Wildan co-wrote an article with an American journalist addressing the issue of domestic violence prevalent in his local community. The article, titled "Thai Muslim Women join forces against domestic violence in Deep South," sheds light on this issue. Additionally, he was an active member of the English club at his university, where he organized various activities to provide opportunities for his fellow students.
During his time in the United States as part of the Global UGRAD Program, Wildan pursued his passion for literature by majoring in English. He focused on American literature to gain a deeper understanding of its culture.
After completing the program, Wildan co-founded "EYC Diversity" with fellow members of the U.S. Embassy Youth Council to promote tolerance among youth. He also volunteered at the Folklore Museum, Institute for Southern Thai Studies to showcase Thai culture to foreigners. Furthermore, he was promoted to vice president of the English Club, where he organized activities for students at the SOS Children’s Village. Currently, Wildan is completing a teaching practicum at a high school in Thailand as part of his final year.
Thitikan Pohpoach

Thitikan Pohpoach has five years of experience in regulatory science in Bangkok, Thailand. She is currently a regulator at the Thai Food and Drug Administration. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Khon Kaen University. During her time at the Thai FDA, she was a consultant on developing health products focusing on domestic entrepreneurs and researchers.
As one of the lead regulators in her unit at Thai FDA, Thitikan initiated a project involving consultations, collaborations, new guidance creation, and network strengthening in innovation hubs nationwide to drive food innovations systematically. This endeavor has provided valuable insights into internal and external departments, university sectors, funding agencies, and the business sector.
Participating in the Global UGRAD program enlightened her on how the American system empowered its citizens to develop critical thinking skills through experiential learning in the healthcare industry. It ignited her passion and inspired her to work within a policy-driving organization. Over the past several years, she has been deeply committed to supporting innovative health product development. Now she is currently a master’s student in biomedical and health informatics at Mahidol University, Thailand.
Ratchanon Samosungnoen

Ratchanon possesses five years of extensive experience in the field of educational projects within rural areas. Presently, he serves as an esteemed educator at the School of Economics and Public Policy at Srinakharinwirot University. His responsibilities encompass the development of engaging lectures and the orchestration of research endeavors pertaining to political and economic domains.
Prior to his current role, he held the position of a diligent research assistant within the Department of Political Science. During his tenure at Srinakharinwirot University, Ratchanon has been deeply committed to conducting numerous research projects centered around foreign policy analysis and security studies. Notably, he is an alumnus of the prestigious Global UGRAD program, where he pursued studies in international relations with a focus on security studies and women in politics.
Throughout the UGRAD program, he actively participated in various campaigns aimed at advocating for women's rights in both the economic and political spheres. Ratchanon earned his bachelor's degree in political science with a major in international relations and a minor in economics from Srinakharinwirot University. Currently, he is furthering his academic pursuits through a postgraduate program in diplomacy and international relations at Srinakharinwirot University.
Solya Sanchaiworanan

Solya Sanchaiworanan recently graduated from the English Department at Prince of Songkla University in Hatyai, Thailand. She is the founder of Scholarship Firecracker, an inspirational entrepreneurial ecosystem that spans various platforms, from her engaging TikTok channel to online and on-site interactive English classes worldwide. In her capacity, she develops educational content that transcends borders, fostering a global community of learners. Through Scholarship Firecracker, her goal is to democratize education, providing individuals worldwide with accessible scholarship opportunities and English learning experiences, particularly aimed at young people, encouraging them to believe in their abilities and dream big.
Additionally, Solya played a leading role in the ASEAN Women Paladins project, which was honored as the winner of a seed grant competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. This experience further honed her project management skills. Furthermore, her role as an internal interpreter for His Royal Highness of Malaysia highlights her ability to facilitate accurate communication across diverse linguistic contexts.
Before completing her degree, Solya served as an English teacher intern, demonstrating her commitment to education and utilizing her photography, videography, and social media advertising skills for impactful school campaigns. She also received valuable leadership training and contributed to cross-cultural exchange initiatives.
Moreover, as an alumna of the Global UGRAD program, Solya conducted research at Iowa Wesleyan University in the United States, exploring the impact of digital mediation on public speaking and communication in contemporary society.
